How many days should I spend in Santorini?
A three- to five-day plan is a useful starting point for the caldera villages, a beach and Akrotiri. Allow more time for boat trips, walking and a slower pace. Your arrival and departure times matter as much as the number of nights.
Do I need a car?
Not necessarily. Compare your base and plans with current bus connections, taxis and transfers. A rental vehicle adds flexibility for some inland and coastal trips, but check parking and the final walking route to your accommodation.
Where should I stay?
Compare Fira, Oia and Imerovigli for caldera scenery, Kamari and Perissa for a beach base, and inland villages for a different pace. Ask about the exact room view, steps, luggage access and transport before booking.
