Finikia Santorini Guide

Finikia is a quieter traditional village just inland from Oia, useful for travellers who want north-Santorini access without staying in Oia’s busiest lanes.

What Finikia is like

The village has cave houses, narrow pedestrian lanes and a more residential atmosphere than neighbouring Oia. It is a good place for a slow walk and for seeing another side of northern Santorini.

Finikia or Oia?

Choose Oia for immediate caldera views and the island’s best-known sunset setting. Choose Finikia if you value quiet and are comfortable walking or arranging transport into Oia.

Getting around

Do not assume every accommodation is vehicle-accessible. Ask your host exactly where a taxi or transfer can stop and how far luggage must be carried.

Best use

Finikia works particularly well as a base for repeat visitors, couples and longer stays where avoiding the busiest tourist streets matters.
