Santorini Airport JTR guide: location, transfers, taxis, buses, car hire and planning arrival and departure time.

Pre-arranged transfers are most valuable at the moments when uncertainty costs you most: airport arrivals, ferry arrivals and fixed-time departures.
For late arrivals, families, heavy luggage or accommodation involving a complex meeting point, a booked transfer can remove unnecessary friction.
Athinios can become congested when ferries overlap. Confirm the driver meeting method and give your ferry details rather than only an estimated arrival time.
For occasional point-to-point journeys, taxis can be more economical than renting a car for several days.
Contacts
The airport has an official taxi stand outside the terminal. Athinios port also receives taxis, but large ferry arrivals can create queues. If you pre-book a transfer, provide the flight number or ferry name—not only an estimated arrival time—so the driver can account for delays.
For hotels in Oia, Imerovigli and other caldera settlements, ask whether the driver can reach the property entrance. Some accommodation is accessible only on foot and may require stairs from the nearest vehicle point.
Useful live information
Check current ferry departures, journey times and prices before committing to accommodation or onward transport.
Fira is the main bus hub. Seasonal timetables change, so use the operator’s current timetable rather than an old screenshot.
Taxi dispatch: (+30) 22860 22555. For a serious emergency anywhere in Greece call 112.
