Santorini Beaches Guide
Santorini beach guide covering Perissa, Perivolos, Kamari, Red Beach, Vlychada and what to expect from the island’s volcanic coastline.

Vlychada’s pale sculpted cliffs make it one of the island’s most unusual coastal landscapes.
Erosion has shaped the volcanic material behind the beach into dramatic forms, giving Vlychada a very different visual character from Perissa or Kamari.
Pair Vlychada with Akrotiri, Megalochori or a south-coast lunch rather than making a separate cross-island trip.
Getting there
Vlychada is easiest by car, taxi or as part of a southern-island itinerary. If using buses, check the current KTEL route before setting out because frequency can be more limited than the main resort routes.
Useful live information
Check current ferry departures, journey times and prices before committing to accommodation or onward transport.
Fira is the main bus hub. Seasonal timetables change, so use the operator’s current timetable rather than an old screenshot.
Taxi dispatch: (+30) 22860 22555. For a serious emergency anywhere in Greece call 112.
