Perissa Santorini Guide
Perissa is one of Santorini’s easiest places for a beach-first stay, with a long dark-sand shoreline and straightforward resort infrastructure.
Who Perissa suits
Choose Perissa if you want the beach on your doorstep, relatively flat local walking and generally better value than the caldera rim.
Perissa vs Perivolos
The shoreline continues south into Perivolos. Perissa tends to feel more like a defined village-resort, while Perivolos stretches into a longer beachfront strip.
Trade-offs
You will travel for caldera views, Oia and Fira. If those are your daily priorities, staying on the west side is more efficient.
Getting there
Practical transport for Perissa
Perissa is served by buses from Fira. If you plan repeated evenings in Oia or Fira, factor in the need to change at Fira and check the late return timetable rather than assuming a direct service.
